Summer Is Ending

The last month has been all kinds of random fun things. Lexi had a camp in the St. Cloud area, it was All State. She was the only girl accepted from her high school, and the only girl accepted from our school district! It's a pretty big deal! She has a large vocal range, but really enjoys harmonizing so she auditioned as an Alto 1. She met lots of new kids, and even met a few LDS kids up there. She was thankful because as the week went on there were a lot of things going on at night that she wasn't all that comfortable with. It was nice for her to find kids that kept her same standards.

Ashlee had her second hip surgery- and it went much better than anticipated. Her recovery has been a lot faster, and she is so thankful! She still won't be able to play soccer until spring- but at least she knows she won't have the pain she's had the last 2 years.

Baylee finally had her gymnastic camp- she couldn't wait for August to get here! She LOVED it! It was from 8-4 Monday- Thursday, she was completely exhausted each day but learned so much! She and Carly love to see who can get their splits all the way to the floor.. Bays is getting closer!

Lexi has been teaching our neighbor piano lessons all year, and she held a recital for her. I asked if Carly and Baylee could join since their teacher is a teenager and I didn't expect him to plan one. They all did really well, and we even got Lexi and James (Carly and Baylee's teacher) to play a song.

I started my ASL classes at Saint Paul College. I was nervous for so many reasons, but it has been great! I really enjoy learning how to sign, and my instructor is a great teacher! She is deaf and doesn't speak, so there's no talking- we just have to learn to communicate through sign. After my first night I came home to a boston cream pie cake, a clean house, and a sign hanging up for me. I am so blessed to have such a great family!

We have 1 more week of summer left and the kids are enjoying every minute! We have a few more things planned like going to the Minnesota Fair, Lake Elmo, and enjoying our gorgeous 70 degree weather over the next week!
